VIVES is a university college in West Flanders offering numerous bachelor and graduate degrees. VIVES employs about 1,500 teachers for nearly 17,000 students. In addition, about 200 researchers are employed in several expertise centres (EC). This project was initiated by the EC Social Innovation that sets up practically oriented research projects that focus on people and society. Previous projects focusing on similar topics within this EC are the AMIF – parental involvement in nursery education project (2017-2018) and the Interreg Social Integration of Refugees through self-Employment and Education (SIREE) which both involved co-creation sessions with migrant/refugee parents.

Centro per lo Sviluppo Creativo “Danilo Dolci” is a non-profit association based in Palermo, Italy, born from the experience of social and educational work of Danilo Dolci and his collaborators, started in Eastern Sicily back in 1952. The Centre stemmed from the need of offering the local communities a reality committed to practically solve the local problems, developing a creative space in which fostering awareness and bottom-up planning, paving the way for a real change. Since the beginning, the main focus of the Center were non-violent education practices and communication as well as the creative development of the local territory.

At present, Centro per lo Sviluppo Creativo “Danilo Dolci” works in the educational sector, involving young people and adults, mainly acting through projects in the educational field carried out in cooperation with schools, universities, institutions, associations and social groups both at local and international level.

COMPASS is a non-profit private company aiming to support disadvantaged groups who encounter economic, social, and cultural predicaments. A number of their programmes focus on fostering multicultural and inclusive societies aiming to promote the professional and social integration and inclusion of migrants and refugees. Their main goal is to support the educational and professional empowerment of disadvantaged groups as steppingstones for nurturing their sense of belonging, social network and independence. Thus, they strive to build strong collaborations with local stakeholders in implementing innovative tools and approaches to address the obstacles faced by disadvantaged groups, as well as with policy makers aiming to achieve long-term impact and permanent solutions for ongoing challenges.

Our programmes cover indicatively the following areas:

• Educational and vocational counselling
• Language training for people with migration and refugee background
• Literacy training
• Multilingual guidance for education and career counselling for refugees and migrants
• Media workstation for young migrants (workshops in radio, film, photography & creative writing)

Education Centre Geoss Ltd. (IC Geoss), Litija, Slovenia has 60 years of experience in the field of education and regional development in Municipality of Litija and wider in the region of Central Slovenia.

IC Geoss offers a comprehensive range of educational programmes: 11 secondary VET programmes and 6 tertiary education programmes, as well as numerous non-formal education programmes. In recent years, increasing attention has been given to various projects that develop and encourage lifelong learning among different target groups and to implementation of social and digital agenda, regional development and territorial cooperation.

KMOP (1977), is one of the oldest civil society organizations in Greece, with extensive experience in direct provision of social services and implementation of social initiatives. Over the last years, it has established an international presence (currently active in 7 countries) and is dedicated into making a positive social impact through research and innovative initiatives that address critical social issues, inform public debate and help shape policy, nationally and internationally.

Its mission is to contribute to effective social-policy design and to lead impactful programs that promote individual well-being, reduce inequalities, eliminate vulnerabilities, and foster inclusive and sustainable social growth.

OCMW is a local public body in Belgium which provides social services to guarantee a dignified existence for every citizen.

Social workers at OCMW investigate what help is most appropriate given the personal or family circumstances, and offer the appropriate means to meet people’s needs.

There are 30 social workers working in different areas, such as: debt mediation,

activation, living wage, child poverty, legal service, crisis care service, intake service and so on.

Il “Centro Internazionale delle Culture Ubuntu ETS Onlus is an organization founded in 2006 in the historic center of Palermo. The association works in the socio-educational area, aiming to encourage the reception and integration of immigrant communities in the local context, promote the education of children and young people with the involvement of their families, combate all forms of discrimination and promote intercultural education and social inclusion.
